Chicano Son brings together the experiences, sounds and cultural resistance of the Chicano community with the traditional instruments and styles of the son jarocho community. The members of Chicano Son come from such bands as East Side Punk band "Subsistencia", Chicano Madness groove band “Blues Experiment”, traditional Son Jarocho group “Son de Madera”, Conscience CHicano cruising band “Slowrider”, Chicano Soneros “Mitiote” and indie en espanol Ensemble “Maneja BEto”.
